Job Overview
The Manager, Quality Assurance leverages experience and knowledge of QA practices, automation testing and testing frameworks to support and advance QA objectives. The role is responsible for designing and building manual and automated tests to validate digital products and applications. Additionally, the role supports the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and QA objectives through deliverables (e.g., test plans, test cases and activities such as requirements and systems walkthroughs). This role involves leading testing with onshore/offshore QA resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test software components for applications built on .NET, Azure and latest generation technologies.
  • Manage defect life cycle ensuring they are documented, tracked and reported to facilitate timely resolution.
  • Report the status of test planning, defects and execution activities, including regular status updates to the project team using quality metrics.
  • Hands on with test automation – write automation scripts to cover end to end functionalities of different products.
  • Collaborate closely and enthusiastically with Technical Leads, Product Owners, Developers, QA Engineers, IT Operations during discover, design, development and testing in an Agile environment.
  • Leverage team development standards, patterns and design principles in daily activities with a DevSecOps mindset.
  • Create test plans, test cases.
  • Provide estimates for test activities and deliverables.
  • Develop and execute functional and non-functional automated or manual testing, as needed.
  • Provide code reviews of other automation scripts with constructive feedback for all QA Engineers of any level.
  • Write API tests and integrate tests to automation framework.
  • Draft and update documents as needed for sharing knowledge, increasing efficiency and mitigating key person dependency.
  • Continually enhance own skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.
  • Other responsibilities and duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:  
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, or related field; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 3 years’ experience in building and maintaining automation framework. Experience with Test Automation Framework Optimization, Automation Strategizing, Automation Planning and Test Execution.
  • Extensive experience in writing automated test scripts from beginning phase of development.
  • Expertise in testing applications built on .NET frameworks.
  • Strong experience with CI tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.
  • Expertise in writing SQL queries for database related testing.
  • Strong in Backend DB, End to End testing and Regression testing.
  • Ability to lead and execute complex tasks with high-level direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate and work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in agile methodology and in using Jira.
  • Strong technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in developing flows and diagrams.
  • Diligent with documentation.
  • Flexibility to adjust work hours to support staff in other region offices, when needed.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, to support client's global offices.
  • Capacity to maintain flexibility and react to change appropriately.
  • Ability to work in-office and remotely according to client's hybrid work environment.
