Senior Director, Application Development and Integration
Location: Reston, VA / (Two days in Reston office and other days are telework)

The Senior Director, Application Development and Integration propose and execute company’s vision for application architecture and the Application Development team, ensuring it is aligned with organizational objectives and long-term strategy.
 
Key Things You Will Be Doing
  • Develop and implement the strategies to deliver brand worthy digital experiences and applications, adopting key commercial platforms.
  • Manage and maintain company’s current application portfolio which is increasingly critical to fulfilling on company’s mission as field better candidate journeys and drive enterprise capabilities/commonality.
  • Serve as the company lead for application design and development processes and develops new applications and systems meeting the needs of internal and external constituents.
  • Lead the adoption of relevant, new technologies and cloud-centric approaches while optimizing team performance for productivity and quality.
 
What You Bring
  • Advanced degree from accredited university in field related to specialty area; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
  • 8 years’ experience with hands-on systems design and architecture, implementation and support.
  • 4 years’ progressive supervisory experience.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies and frameworks (.Net (C#), SQL, etc.) required, with practical hands-on software development experience in a Microsoft environment.
  • Experience with Azure PaaS, Sitecore and decoupled CMS, SaaS platforms, cloud-native technologies, micro-services, and SOA (service-oriented architecture) environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal and external integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve results, to include identifying and working with key stakeholders.    
  • Must be forward-thinking, outcome-oriented and eager to learn new approaches.
  • Experience leveraging agile process for rapid development.
  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD, containerization, application performance monitoring, and test automation.
  • Ability to propose and implement strategy to influence and support the Senior Leadership team.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues of significance to the organization that have direct impact on the success of the function both long-term and short-term.
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to prioritize objectives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to successfully lead a team.
  • Ability to work in-office and remotely according to company’s hybrid work environment.
